Photographs taken at one of the Terrazas’ Haciendas in the state of
Chihuahua, Mexico. The Terraza family owned many haciendas in Chihuahua
(more than 7 million acres in total) at the start of the 1900’s. During/After
the Mexican Revolution many of the haciendas were assumed by the peons who
worked/lived on the properties. Like many of the haciendas, “the house” at this
one is in ruins. The photographs in this set show the roof construction in which mud
was used as an insulation material. Photographs from September 22, 2017 and other dates.
