English Common Names include Gumbo-limbo, Copperwood, Tourist Tree,
Chaca, and Turpentine Tree.  Native to tropical America.  Among other things,
the wood of this tree is the type traditional used to make carousel horses in
the United States.  Parts of the tree were used by the indigenous peoples
for a variety of medicinal purposes (poultice from the leaves is anti-inflammatory,
as an antidote to extreme rashes created by other plants, etc.)
