The Spur-winged Lapwings depicted in these video framegrabs were recorded in The Gambia during November 2018 - video link. The species is found from West Africa (Senegambia) to the Red Sea and south to Tanzania. It is also found in the eastern Mediterranean. Synonyms for the species include Charadrius spinosus and Hoplopterus spinosus.
