White-fronted Plover - Charadrius marginatus mechowi
The Gambia - November 2018
The range of this subspecies (there are five subspecies which are currently recognized) is restricted to a band of land which reaches across the continent south of the Sahara to the northern edge of Angola eastward to northern Mozambique. The species is endemic to Sub-Saharan Africa. The two individuals shown in these video framegrabs were recorded in The Gambia during November 2018 - video link.
