Common Ringed Plover - Charadrius hiaticula
The Gambia - November 2018
The breeding range of the Common Ringed Plover extends from Greenland to Eastern Siberia along the Arctic Ocean. At other times its range is restricted mostly to Africa and Near Eastern areas near the ocean. There are three poorly defined subspecies which are currently recognized.
